One of the coolest features of this table saw is how portable it is. Hence, the name “jobsite table saw”, the Bosch 4100-10 is designed to accommodate the mobile woodworker that needs to transport their saw from place to place.

The Bosch 4100-10 has a gravity rise mobile stand that unfolds and folds with one simple motion. While standing on its wheels, simply pull the lever to prop it up. It takes about 45 seconds to wheel your table saw across the room, set up the attachments, and have it fully functional. Whether your interest is home projects or construction work – this table saw will serve you well in terms of mobility.

Despite its mobility and light weight, the Bosch 4100-10 packs some serious power behind it. This table saw has a 15-amp motor which delivers 4.0 HP, giving you the ability to cut through just about any wood you throw at it. We’ve tested it on everything from flimsy plywood to 2″ thick hardwood and we got perfect precision, every time!

One of the features that puts this table saw above the rest is the soft start feature. This unique feature provides smooth start ups without compensating for speed or power. As a result, a soft start will manage the intensity of motor-start up and reduce the chance of tripping a circuit breaker. The quality of this table saw really shines when you start it up.

Moreover, the Bosch 4100-10 table saw provides a 29 In. x 21 1/2 In. table. It also has a 25-inch ripping capacity that is capable of cutting through 4-foot sheets. The fence is high quality and will glide back and forth over your table for precise alignments. The blade easily adjusts in height by rotating the wheel located on the side of the table saw.

Based on our Bosch 4100-10 table saw review, everything came square straight out of the box. The zero gauge for the tilt was perfect, the squareness of the miter fence was accurate, and the tape measure was accurate as well. Therefore, in terms of precision and power, this table saw definitely passed our review.

Furthermore, the Bosch 4100-10 has all the storage you’ll ever need on a table saw. All the attachments and tools you need such as your rip-fence, extra blades, blade wrench, miters, guards, anti-kickback pawls, and miter gauge are all located on the on-board storage of this table saw.

Additionally, it has a storage compartment to keep additional tools from your workshop. This will save you the heartache of getting to your jobsite and not knowing where your necessary tools are. Staying organized is fairly important for woodworking, so having this extra storage space is a big plus.

On top of this, all the attachments can be taken off with the quick release system. Once you remove all your tools and attachments and place them back in their designated storage locations, your table will be flat so you can place it up against a wall. This feature really helps conserve your storage space.

Additional Features

  • Smart Guard System and Anti-Kickback Pawls for preventing accidental contact with blade.
  • Quick release system on all components including attachments and stand.
  • 8-Inch pneumatic wheels for easy transport.
  • Constant Response circuitry to maintain power under load.
  • Rip fence scale magnifying the distance from the rip fence to the blade.
  • Powerful motor producing 3,650 RPM.
  • Dust collection port at the bottom of the table under the blade.

Pros and Cons

There are many excellent features on the Bosch 4100-10 table saw. First and foremost, the stand is one of the best stands we’ve seen in terms of quality and mobility. Unlike most table saws which can be a hassle to deal with – the Bosch 4100-10 has a simple pull lever which releases the legs for easy transport.

Speaking of mobility, this table saw really does a great job at fulfilling the title of being a jobsite table saw. All your components are quick release, making it swift and easy to set-up your table saw and have it ready to go. Weighing only 60 lbs., the Bosch 4100-10 should be a breeze to move around your work site. You can effortlessly move up or down stairs with this jobsite table saw.

Additionally, the soft start is a keen feature on this table saw. It’s quiet, gets up to speed in plenty of time, and lessens the chance of tripping a circuit. Best of all, it will likely extend the life of your motor. No other table saw provides this feature straight out of the box.

The stock saw blade on the Bosch 4100-10 is adequate but could be better. We recommend upgrading to a new one if possible. Furthermore, the dust collection system isn’t perfect on this unit. The blade shroud leaves a little too much space on the sides of the blade, resulting in some dust escaping. Despite these minimal flaws, the pros of this device heavily outweigh the cons.

Bosch 4100-09 vs. Bosch 4100-10

You’re probably wondering the differences between the Bosch 4100-09 and Bosch 4100-10. Having owned both, a lot of people ask me the main differences between these saws.

The first notable difference is the blade. The Bosch 4100-10 has a 24-tooth blade, while the previous model had a 48-tooth blade. The 24-tooth blade is much more efficient for doing rip-cuts, or cutting along the grain of the wood, which is what you’ll probably be doing most of the time.

Furthermore, the guard center on the Bosch 4100-09 was made of metal. This was unnecessary weight, so Bosch 4100-10 model upgraded to a Nylon guard center.

The biggest upgrade on the Bosch 4100-10 is the stand. Bosch completely redesigned the stand to make it more lightweight and portable. The new stand is 2-inches shorter and 10 lbs. lighter.

What's the Verdict?

The Bosh 4100-10 Table Saw is an all-in-one package. Despite being compact and easy to transport, it packs a punch with its power and precision. The soft-start feature, ease of mobility, and high-quality stand makes this table saw well worth the price!
